GDS Eligibility Criteria
For recruitment to the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts in the Indian Post Office, candidates must meet specific age and educational eligibility criteria.
Age Limits
To be eligible for engagement as a Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), candidates must fulfill the following age requirements:

GDS Salary
The Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) working under the Indian Post Office are paid according to the Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) system. The basic TRCA differs based on the post, such as Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak. In addition to the basic TRCA, Dearness Allowance (DA) is paid as per Central Government norms. When DA is added to the basic TRCA, the total monthly earnings at the very beginning of the job come to around ₹15,000 for ABPM/Dak Sevak and around ₹18,000 for BPM. Over time, this amount increases with increments and revisions in DA.
